My Haiku usually falls into it's own space. I can never remember the "proper" syllable scheme, so you never know which way it will go!

Haiku I wrote in December on my trip back east
Haiku - 2005
A birthday wish thought for you
So many years past
You still feel so close to me

Driving around here to there
Lost in our to do's
Where is the time to reflect?

Hurry, hurry, rush, rush, rush
Focus on the end
Now it's to late to enjoy

Joy of sharing with my friend
Camera sees me
I see treasured memories

Stare into wind
Listen to the sun setting
Life's full of wonder

Beckoning the heart
A flowers pedals open
Needing to be touched again

When the shadows fall
Souls fall silent in the dark
Time to awaken

Feeling the path fade
Stumbling to gain a foothold
See with closed eyes, trust in you

Awakening souls
Seeking answers that elude
Comes not from trying

The glass, pick it up
Now, try to drink form the glass
No, that is doing

Moments that define
Decisions by heart or by head
Is one easier?

Soft flower pedals unfold
Two come together
Life's cycle completes once more

Stretch down to drink of the earth
Reach out to touch warmth
Synergy of life's exchange

Soft and light, it gently falls
Covering bareness
Beautifully flows in the wind

Two pools dance under the moon
Distorted by drops
Seeking in nights solitude

Standing tall in the nights dark
Stoically swaying
Waiting for absolution

It's soft touch upon your skin
Warm in summer heat
Revel in it's purity

Sweet taste of the early morn
The blossoming glow
Warm satisfaction cascades

How breathe rises in the air
My lips part to greet
I revel in the feeling

Carefully follow the curves
My sense alive
A journey that needs no end

Droplets appear like magic
Glistening diamonds
Anticipating release

Hypnotically dancing
Sparks lash out at me
I bathe in the heats embrace

Milky white, firm, yet so soft
Atop perfection
It's sweetness satiates me

Long fingers lash in the dark
Lighting the senses
Leaving echoes in your ears

Crashing down, washing away
Traces of the past
Take and give in harmony

Lush, glistening, deep red
Full and inviting
